How can these city-based GND initiatives be funded, although perhaps the newly introduced Green New Deal Cities legislation by Cori Bush and AOC might help. This seems like a great opportunity to bring together the labor movement, environmental justice movement, and local social justice activists and environmentalists around a Green New Deal that could benefit everyone. More democratic public ownership of key infrastructure employing union labor, women, workers of color to transform society. This is a big moment!!
