Questions particularly for Darcy and Laura: 1) thoughts on paid sick leave changes - thinking on what happens now that some of the ‘emergency regulations’ have been phased out but workers are still getting sick or still recuperating from the impacts of the pandemic 2) for Laura specifically on premium pay: does the new language include paying at premium rates for those that take paid sick leave? because we have seen companies used ‘hazard pay’ sometimes as presentism bonuses and in other cases still creating financial incentives to come in to work while ill because of the temporary nature of the raise and the fact that if you took leave you were only paid the base rate….

Has anyone had support or experience with being part of an employer pandemic planning committees or ; worker involvement with emergency management / response procedures along with their employer? Of course easier with union backing and clout.

In regards to local enforcement of worker protection laws, what are some good local enforcement strategies? I ask because even when there are local worker protections laws enforcement continues to be a problem.
