GHUCCTS in the (Virtual) Community aims to promote clinical research awareness, diversity in research, and community-engaged research through virtual outreach efforts that will be held monthly.

The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) is a partnership of medical research institutions. What do we do when Black men’s health and values conflict?

Description: Please join us for a conversation regarding men’s health and wellbeing. Derek Griffith, Ph.D., Director of the Georgetown Center for Men’s Health Equity, will shed light on Black men’s health, prostate cancer prevention, and how family members can be important sources of support through diagnosis and treatment. We will also discuss the importance of diversity in research, and how this is crucial to support health equity.
